Biography

Andrés Felipe Vásquez Quintero received his Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería, (in Bogotá - Colombia) and Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Nationale d'Ingenieurs de Metz, (in Metz – France) in 2008. He obtained his MSc. in Microelectronics Engineering from Delft University of Technology (in Delft - The Netherlands) in 2010. He obtained his Ph.D. at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), SAMLAB/EnviroMEMS (in Neuchâtel – Switzerland), in topics related to Microsystems/MEMS, Smart electronics packaging, flexible sensing devices and ultra-thin hybrid flexible integration.

At the moment he is performing a PostDoc at CMST/imec funded both by the SNSF (Swiss National Science Foundation) and the IntraEuropean Marie Curie (MSCA-Horizon 2020) postdoc fellowships. His current work involves the development of hyperelastic FEM models for stretchable electronics architectures in order to develop and fabricate autonomous and hybrid smart contact lenses.
