It was a pleasure to pitch our work on epileptic seizure suppression using optogenetics and biocompatible optical probes during the interesting #HealthTech2026 event. The event brought together stakeholders from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture UGent and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Ghent University .

Congratulations to the organizing committee and Celine Vanhaverbeke and Charlotte Crokaerts with this well-organized event and thank you to both Faculties for supporting this event and future opportunities for collaboration. Thanks Herbert De Smet , for the photo 😉.

We did not have the time to explain everything we work on, but a big thank you to all PI’s, researchers, business developers involved in the "Softreset" consortium for the nice collaboration on this very multidisciplinary research topic!
