Happy to be part of this interesting and challenging EU project MULTIMOLD with the aim to make in-mold electronics in a more sustainable way.

MULTIMOLD KICKED OFF 🚀
On 17 January, Multimold EU project started!

Multimold aims at revolutionise complex geometric production based on #inmold electronics addressing #sustainability issues and improving the #userexperience of these products.

Film insert molding and in-mold decoration are standard in injection molding, enabling #3Dshaped objects with integrated graphics. While most in-mold electronic #manufacturing processes have a 99% yield, the crucial over-molding stage achieves only 85%, leading to low overall yield and high tooling costs.

♻ MULTIMOLD will study in-molding solutions which improve yield and may also simplify recyclability - in line with mandates of circular economy and waste management.

📲 Thanks to MULTIMOLD, products will integrate electronic functionality, sensors, haptic feedback, and power supply with advanced surfaces featuring light guidance, antibacterial properties, anti-icing capabilities, easy cleaning, and attractive textures.

Stay tuned for updates and follow The MULTIMOLD EU Project!
